Program Structure and Integration

ML3, a leadership training and development firm assisting small and medium-sized organizations in lifting the leadership limitations of individuals at all levels, integrated the Happy platform into their 15-week leadership cohort program.

Happy's Workstyle feature provided personalized insights into each participant's core behaviors, motivations, strengths, and stress responses. This has helped facilitators and coaches better understand participants and teach the importance of truly knowing and understanding followers to be great leaders.

Enhancing Leadership Practices

High-level performance of "The Five Exemplary Practices" requires leaders to deeply know and understand their followers. The Happy platform offers readily available information to leaders, helping them tailor their leadership practices to the individual and the situation.

For instance, during a coaching session, a cohort participant faced a leadership challenge involving her boss. By leveraging Happy’s workstyle information, the coaching session was tailored to address Inspiring a Shared Vision and Enabling Others to Act, aligning with the boss' workstyle and leading to a successful outcome.

Happy has significantly improved our leadership development process by providing tailored insights into each participant's workstyle.

Impact on Leadership Development

ML3 believes the Happy platform will achieve their learning objectives for strengthening leadership skills. The Happy platform has begun to support the cohort’s understanding and application of leadership practices, and the impact on leadership skills and behaviors is anticipated to be significant.

Mike Mitchell, ML3 President & CEO, is confident that the Happy platform will positively influence group dynamics and team cohesion. Having rolled out similar tools over the past 20 years, he anticipates that Happy, being more powerful, will demonstrate even greater impacts in future engagements. Although specific examples of enhanced collaboration or communication among teams or cohort members have not yet emerged, the potential for such improvements is recognized.
